Polina Kozhanova: "I will take home not only knowledge but also love for Kyrgyzstan"

A third-year student from Russia, Polina Kozhanova, spent a semester at the International University of Central Asia as part of an exchange program in the English Linguistics department. Reflecting on her time at IUCA, she noted that this was one of the best choices she had ever made.

"I chose the English Linguistics program because I am deeply interested in languages and teaching methodologies. Studying at IUCA introduced me to new methods and approaches in foreign language education," Polina shared.

She expressed special gratitude to IUCA’s professors, praising their professionalism and dedication to students. In particular, she thanked Natalia Tsukanova, whose classes inspired her to further explore teaching methodologies.

Beyond theoretical learning, Polina actively participated in practical training in real-life settings. Additionally, she had the unique opportunity to practice English with native speakers from the USA, China, and Taiwan.

However, Polina’s experience at IUCA extended far beyond the classroom. She fully immersed herself in student life, admired the natural beauty of Kyrgyzstan, and enjoyed its traditional cuisine.

"Kyrgyzstan is about kind people, the aroma of lagman and samsa, an incredible blend of ancient traditions and modernity, a culture open to the world, and high-quality education. I will take home not only knowledge but also love for this country, which will forever remain in my heart," Polina shared.
