Student Interuniversity Scientific and Practical Conference 'My Linguist. Pronunciation Issues in the English Language
On November 25, 2022, the student scientific and practical conference "My Linguist. Pronunciation Issues in the English Language" took place at MUCA. The conference was organized by the "Linguistics. English Language" program of the International University in Central Asia and the "Translation Studies" program of the Humanities and Technical College

Participants in the conference included students from MUCA and GTK, as well as Senior Lecturer Tatyana Nikolaevna Dubina and Dennis Brickolt, a professor at North Park University, Chicago, USA. The student scientific and practical conference "My Linguist. Pronunciation Issues in the English Language" had two objectives. The first was to familiarize students with the lives of scholars, their scientific discoveries in the field of linguistics, which is closely intertwined with philosophy, history, culture, ethnography, psychology, and other branches of knowledge.

Students prepared and discussed reports on the development of linguistic research in Russia, Europe, the USA, Britain, and our country. The second goal was to discuss issues related to the development of fundamental linguistic traditions and pronunciation problems in the English language. This section addressed issues that often pose difficulties both in learning English and in teaching it. It is worth noting that the working language of the conference was English. The participants' reports were characterized by substance and a scientific approach.

Professor Dennis Brickolt highly appreciated the students' presentations, where they detailed the essence of their reports. Based on the discussions, it was concluded that it is necessary to continue the theoretical and practical study of linguistic issues that can reveal cultural, psychological, and communicative phenomena in the English language. The student scientific and practical conference concluded with the participants receiving certificates.
